Gas Safe registration
Gas Safe is the official register of engineers legally permitted to work on gas in the UK — it replaced CORGI. Anyone touching your gas boiler must be on it. Our registration is 594385, it is printed across this site and on the paperwork, and you can check it on the Gas Safe Register's own site. A Gas Safe registered engineer is on site for the whole of every installation we do.
The Building Regulations notification
Fitting a new boiler is notifiable work: your local authority has to be told it happened and that it complies. We send that notification for you as part of every job — it is on the inclusions list — and the compliance certificate is posted to you afterwards.
Why the certificate matters later
The compliance certificate is the document a solicitor asks for when you sell the house, and the one that proves the installation was done legally if anything is ever questioned. Missing paperwork is a headache years after the installer is gone — which is why we handle it at the time and put the certificate in your hands.
What you need to do
Nothing — both pieces are our job. Keep the certificate and the warranty paperwork somewhere findable, and that is the whole of your part.
