Replacing a combi like-for-like starts at £1,999 fitted; replacing an old cylinder system with a combi starts at £2,699. If a repair is genuinely the better call, we will say so and point you to our repair arm instead.
When replacement is the right call
Some boilers earn a repair; some have simply reached the end. Replacement usually wins when the boiler has been condemned, when the fault is a major component on a unit long out of warranty, or when you are paying for the second or third repair in a couple of winters and the maths has stopped working.
It is not always the answer, though. A modest part on a boiler with years left in it is usually worth fitting — and that is exactly the work our repair arm exists for. If a repair is the better call for your boiler, we will tell you, and you can book it at BirminghamBoilerRepair.co.uk. Same engineers either way, so there is no incentive for us to push you the expensive route.
What a replacement costs
If the old boiler is a combi, a like-for-like swap starts at £1,999 fitted. If you are on an older system with a cylinder and tanks, converting to a combi starts at £2,699.

Broken down right now?
Replacement on this site is planned work — surveyed, quoted, then booked. If your boiler has died and you need someone out to look at it first, start with the repair side: a proper diagnosis tells you whether you are buying a part or a boiler. Either way you end up with a written figure before anything is committed.
Costs that are not in the headline price
We would rather flag these now than surprise you on the day. A gas supply pipe that is undersized for the new boiler's output, a flue that has to be re-routed, a fused spur that needs moving, a system so heavily sludged it needs a power flush before the warranty is valid, or condensate that has to be run to a soil stack — any of these add cost. A free survey catches all of them before you commit.
